Testing Engineer (Lab Technician)

Job Purpose
The primary responsibility for this position is enabling a Lab Operation and Management System at our contract manufacturing partners as well as all related functions and levels within the Nike office. This system will in turn generate results in higher testing quality and accuracy, faster testing timeline, greater flexibility to support both existing shoe constructions and new technology constructions.
Core Accountabilities

  • Performs day-to-day Shoe and Material Tests by using appropriate Test Method and Testing Equipment, including data analyzing and generating test reports. 
  • Works with various customer groups to set Product Testing and Requirement Specification for new products and developing technologies. 
  • Collaborates with Test Engineers in other Countries to respond non-standard requests, by developing and confirming New Test Method. 
  • Coaches and supports contract manufacturing partners to implement Lab Manual and Lab Audit. 
  • Collaborates with 3rd party partners to perform machinery preventive maintenance and calibration 
  • Assist Lab Manager on larger scale projects. 
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Associated Engineering or Manufacturing from Accredited University. Or High School with minimum of 5 years experience in Physical and Mechanical Lab Testing or Product Quality Control 
  • Preferably experience in Footwear or Apparel Industries. 
  • Experience working in cross functional environment and cultural with proven ability to influence others. 
  • Broad understanding in Product Testing, Analyzing and Reporting. 
  • Familiar with Lab Testing Equipment, Standard Periodic Preventive Maintenance, and Annual Calibration. 
  • Able to use existing Test Methods to perform day-to-day test, and respond to non-standard test request from internal and/or external customers. 
  • Team player with a desire for continues learning. 
  • Fluent in English with excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to travel locally and overseas.
